The Arboretum

The Arboretum is a place I like to go to often. I had never walked through to look for math and when attending it again, I noticed there was math everywhere I looked. This website includes information about the Arboretum and a trail you can take to solve math problems in the real world. Math is all around us and using the beauty of The Arboretum and the Common Core Standards, I was able to develop a fun and interesting way for students to find solutions to real life math problems.

 

The intended grade levels for this math trail is grades 1-5. As you continue down the beatiful trails of the Artboretum, there are fun math problems to solve. Learn more about the gardens and everything in it by solving real world math. When gazing on all the pretty flowers and trees, keep a look out for fun critters as well!
